Mark the Bunny (Part 1)

Mark the Bunny is the best friend of Cleo, both together walk through the gardens of your homes every April, visiting the children and bringing them spring joy and a new beginning.

Grab your crochet hook and materials that I detail below and let’s crochet together! The nice part of Mark the Bunny (Part 1) is that legs, body and head are worked in just one piece, no sewing it!

Materials
- 2.75mm / C crochet hook
- 1 pair of 5mm safety eyes
- 100grs of white fingering yarn.
- 30grs of orange fingering yarn
- 20grs of brown fingering yarn
- 2 small wooden buttons
- A piece of black sewing thread.
- A piece of light pink fingering yarn.
- Stuffing material of your choice
- Yarn needle, (curved needle, optional)
- Stitch markers and scissors
Legs, Body and Head
Worked in rounds with fingering yarn. Crochet hook 2.75mm /C. Use a stitch marker. Stuff as you go
Leg 1
Ch 6
R1: 1sc in second ch from hook, 1sc in next 3ch, 3sc in the last one. Do not turn, continue working on the opposite side by doing 1sc in next 3ch, 2sc in the last one (12)
R2: 1 inc, 3sc, 3 inc, 3sc, 2 inc (18)
R3: 1sc, 1 inc, 3sc, [1sc, 1 inc] three times, 3sc, [1sc, 1 inc] twice (24)
R4: 2sc, 1 inc, 3sc, [2sc, 1 inc] three times, 3sc, [2sc, 1 inc] twice (30)
R5: 3sc, 1 inc, 3sc, [3sc, 1 inc] three times, 3sc, [3sc, 1 inc] twice (36)
R6 – R9: 1sc in each stitch (36)
R10: 10sc, [1sc, 1 dec] four times, 10 sc, 2 dec (30)
R11: 8sc, [1sc, 1 dec] four times, 8sc, 1 dec (25)
R12: 6sc, 6 dec, 5sc, 1 dec (18)
R13: 7sc, 2 dec, 7sc (16)
R14: 1sc in each stitch (16)
R15: Change to orange yarn, 1sc in each stitch (16)
R16: 1sc in each stitch (16)
Join with slst in next st and fasten off. Weave the ends.
Make the same for second leg, but continue with R17 by doing just 6sc, ch 4 and join the first leg. Put the stitch marker.
Joining the 2 legs and starting the body
R17: 16sc, 1sc in next 4ch, 16sc, 1sc in the 4ch (40)

R20 – R25: 1sc in each stitch (50)
R26: Change to brown yarn, 1sc blo in each stitch (50)

R28: 1sc blo in each stitch (45)

Insert the safety eyes between R49 – R50, with 6 stitches apart, approximately.
